Becca Walking

Becca has recently decided to try this whole walking thing. Tonight we tried to capture her amazing feats of balance on video.

The first is a valiant attempt cut short, while the second is rather better.

Well, we have officially begun the Davis chapter of our lives. Becca seems to be thriving in day care (apparently she waltzed right in and decided she runs the place). However, these pictures have nothing to do with that. They are from Daniela's lovely wedding, which definitely merits a post.

I couldn't resist a picture of Edward Witten, hands down my favorite world famous genius.

First Week of August

We had a blast in Carlsbad with Becca's betrothed, the adorable Cal Henry.


Becca played a little hard to get.

But Cal showed off a little, and she was smitten.


Except when he tried to steal her ball.


Overall, the day was a ton of fun.

Fun at Gymboree!

Becca officially learned how to pull herself up to a stand at Grammy and Pop Pop's yesterday, so Ann and I decided to take her to Gymboree to practice her skills. Here are a few pictures of the fun.


This is baby soccer, where we fling our children at beach balls like human golf clubs.


The big boy in the middle knocked Becca down, then proceeded to steal her ball...its rough out there.


Can you guess which one is Becca? She has places to go, babies to climb over.


The bubbles finally got her attention.


The babies actually lined up to have bubbles blown into their faces. Adorable.


She was so brave in the tunnel!


This picture pretty much sums up our time at Gymboree. Check out the determined, but happy look on her face.

I just had to include these pictures of Becca (and Stewart) with their crazy hair. I finally had to cut her luscious locks, but these pictures capture them at their best.











And here she is post-badly needed haircut. She resisted mightily, but I prevailed and managed not to poke her eye out with the scissors.

For Mom

I never really thought I would be a blogger, but my mom wanted a way to share videos of Becca, so here we go! Becca recently figured out crawling, and now there is no stopping her. Today she even managed to pull up to her knees and knock over all our dvd's (uh oh...). She is absolutely thrilled with her newfound mobility, as you can see in the videos below. One of her new favorite things is following me all over our tiny apartment...even into the bathroom as my friend/babysitter Daniela found out today:). I guess you officially give up your privacy when you become a mother.






The other video I am including here is of Emily "attacking" Becca. She loves bouncing, being thrown in the air, etc.
